In industry and the utilities sector, insulation is essential: it minimises heat loss, reduces your energy costs, improves safety and extends the service life of your installations. Whether it’s a new build, renovation or maintenance work, you want to be sure that everything is properly taken care of.
Nieuwburg combines 115 years of experience with craftsmanship, capacity, effective project management and modern techniques. That is what quality means at Nieuwburg. This means you can be sure your project will run to schedule and within budget, without any costly delays.
Fire-resistant penetrations
Penetrations are critical points in the fire resistance of walls and floors. Pipes, cable trunking and openings can allow fire and heat to spread between rooms. We use fire-resistant penetration seals to seal openings and insulate pipes. In this way, we minimise the risk of fire and heat transmission. And you keep fire safety under control.
These applications make high demands in terms of the choice of materials and execution. We use certified solutions, depending on the situation, the opening and the type of installation. Fire resistance is verifiable and guaranteed in accordance with the applicable standards.
Cold insulation
You want to prevent condensation and energy loss in pipework systems. Cold pipes cause condensation and, at sub-zero temperatures, ice formation. This can lead to damp problems, damage and reduced efficiency of systems. Using cold insulation, made up of vapour-tight layers, we limit the transfer of moisture and heat. Pipes and components remain protected against moisture and temperature fluctuations.
Cold insulation makes high demands in terms of vapour-tightness and finish. Depending on the application, we finish the insulation with PVC cladding or sheet metal. This protects your system from moisture and temperature fluctuations.
Thermographic survey
We use thermographic surveys to identify heat loss from pipework systems. Infrared cameras detect anomalies and potential faults in the insulation. Hotspots become visible immediately. This gives you insight into energy loss and opportunities for optimisation.
We use infrared images to identify energy losses and potential savings. Pipes are often well insulated, whilst fittings are frequently left unprotected. By insulating these areas specifically, efficiency is improved and energy losses are reduced.
